Camino crafts - Saint James' Day card 2016

With July 25th rapidly approaching (it's on Monday) here's a craft for a Saint James' Day card using hamms beads and incorporating a badge that can be worn on your backpack (a little like last year's card that can be found here http://footprintsonthecamino.blogspot.co.uk/2015/07/camino-crafts-saint-james-day-2015.html?m=1)!

Correos Sellos 2

The Correos (Post Office) has started to do sellos for Pilgrim's Credentials and their website states that: 'At any post office will postmark your credential and many of them well, you'll find special postmark that we designed with the picture of some place or landmark event in the town. So you'll get memory in your Credencial all those places that you could see and visit on your Camino de Santiago' (taken from http://www.elcaminoconcorreos.com/es/sellos-credencial.php ) Below are a second lot of the sellos available:

Vilar de Donas Church

Vilar de Donas Church is about 2.5km off the path of the Camino Frances a bit before Plas de Rei and it is where the Order of Santiago buried important members and leaders. Originally the Church was a part of a monastery (for nuns hence the 'Donas' in the name) founded at the beginning of the 12th century by the family Arias de Monterroso before passing into the hands of the Order of Santiago.
